Expert Court Witness
New York State has statutes of common law liability for dog owners who negligently permit their dogs to bite. With the growing number of dogs demonstrating behavioral issues and considered to have a “vicious propensity”, owners are subject to strict liability for injuries that are inflicted by these categories of dogs as well as in all cases of dog bites whether of people or other animals.
Jeff Kolbjornsen is an Expert Court Witness for New York State Dangerous Dog cases as well as
out of state cases. New York State and Michigan State court systems recognize his expertise and have approved his training facility to rehabilitate dangerous and problematic dogs.
New York’s Dog Whisperer™ provides professional canine evaluations with expert testimony on the behalf of these dogs and their owners.
Rehabilitation Programs
Jeff Kolbjornsen, New York’s Dog Whisperer™, provides rehabilitative programs in-home and at his NY- based canine center. Most clients will participate in training that involves extensive camp programs for their dogs to address difficult behaviors and to begin the process of deprogramming. Upon completion of the camp program, further training will be performed and established in the dog’s home environment with the mandatory participation of the owner.
Behavioral Consultations
Jeff Kolbjornsen provides comprehensive and professional canine evaluations to determine temperament, decipher areas that need to be addressed, test specific problematic behaviors, and conclude training capability of both the dog and his/her owner. Behavioral evaluations may be recommended at either the owner’s home or at the rehabilitation center. At the conclusion of the behavioral evaluation, a recommended protocol of training is outlined and discussed with the owner.
Jeff provides phone consultations for owners who want to initially discuss the issues that they are having with their dogs and who are looking for general guidance.
